Base ‘RED’ marks the inaugural exhibition of REDBASE Foundation as it opens its doors in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, serving as a dynamic platform for Indonesian, Chinese, and Southeast Asian contemporary art. Derived from the concept of Base as a foundation of life and belonging, and Red as an unyielding drive to create, the title translates to "living within the passion of art." Beyond launching its opening showcase, the foundation establishes its mission to connect artists, curators, and institutions internationally through diverse initiatives, ranging from residencies and workshops to global exhibition exchanges, advancing creative practices across national borders.
