REDBASE Art is the leading Asian contemporary art gallery in Sydney, Australia. REDBASE is a cross-cultural site that envisions the changing ideas about Asian contemporary art in Australia, with a focus on Chinese, Indonesian, and Asian-Australian artists.
REDBASE Yogyakarta Foundation is the organisation’s non-profit initiative in Indonesia. Established in 2014, the Foundation supports local and international contemporary art through residencies, exhibitions, education programs, and cultural exchange.

Nan trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and RMIT University. In the 1990s, she was directing the earliest Singapore gallery to specialise in contemporary Chinese art. In 2003 and 2010, Nan opened and directed two major overseas commercial galleries in Beijing, and curated the landmark 2004 exhibition Hua Jia Di. During this time, she was profiled as one of eight leading dealers in Chinese contemporary art.
In 2007, Nan became the director of Eli Klein Fine Art in New York. Under her direction, she rebuilt the gallery into one of only two New York galleries dedicated to contemporary Chinese practice. The artists she introduced were placed into the collections and exhibitions of the Museum of Modern Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Museum of Arts and Design.
In 2014, Nan relocated to Jakarta and established REDBASE Foundation in Yogyakarta as the non-profit extension of REDBASE Art Management. The Foundation has staged more than sixty exhibitions, hosted a longstanding artist in residence program, and delivered continuous programming in art education. Three residency alumni have won UOB Painting of the Year titles, and one has won the Grand Prize of the Sovereign Asian Art Prize.
Opening REDBASE Sydney in 2021, Nancy seeks to bring the best Asian contemporary art to Australian audiences.
