Eyes of Matrix explores how female artists perceive and dismantle social constructs by forging their own personal "matrices" through art. Etymologically rooted in the Latin word for "womb" or "mother," the concept moves beyond mathematical and biological definitions to frame the social matrix as an environment of ingrained values, biases, and cultural rules. Featuring seven young female artists (Ajeng Pratiwi, Alfi Nur Laila, DH Mahardika, Ipeh Nur, Kalya Risangdaru, Meliantha Muliawan, Veronica Liana) and the Tulang Rusuk art community, the exhibition acts as a platform of critical agency where the creators control their own spatial and imaginative dimensions. Across diverse mediums, ranging from resin-hardened clothing and ceramic sculptures to subversive watercolors and interactive installations, the artists voice acute concerns spanning personal anxieties, family dynamics, gender politics, social pretense, and environmental degradation, reclaiming selfhood amid a pre-constructed world.
