Abdi Setiawan (b. 1969). In his sculptural practice, Setiawan explores contemporary social phenomena, urban dynamics, and human behavior, with a particular focus on the behavioral development of children shaped by modern information and changing environments. His sculptural works utilize figures such as children at play carrying toy weapons alongside security guard imagery, to highlight how children absorb and imitate their surroundings, cautioning that exposure to violent triggers can impact their future personal characteristics.
