Let Me Looking Through You is an exhibition hosted by REDBASE Foundation that highlights the creative outputs of its ongoing children's art education initiatives. The project brings together works from two distinct programs: the Weekly Art Class for local children in Jurug Village and a specialized art program developed for students at SLB N Pembina Yogyakarta (Sekolah Luar Biasa, a state special-needs school). Designed to foster creativity outside standard school hours, the initiatives offer children an open space to explore artistic expression under the guidance of dedicated mentors and volunteers.
Beyond showcasing artwork, the exhibition reflects a reciprocal learning process between adults and children. Through weekly interactions, mentors navigate dynamics of communication, patience, and emotional connection, ultimately viewing the children's expressions as a reflective mirror of their own perspectives. Let Me Looking Through You celebrates youth creativity and inclusivity, underscoring the foundation's commitment to expanding accessible art education for all children, including those with special needs, while building bridges within the local community.
