My Culture on Cotton – The Contemporary Art of Batik is a reflection on Indonesian cultural identity, female empowerment, and environmental consciousness through the living heritage of wax-resist textile art. This Exhibition presents contemporary works by four Indonesian artists that reawaken historical narratives; from royal courts and the economic independence of female artisans to ecological conservation, reframing ancient folklore, spiritual devotion, and modern social realities into a dynamic visual language that secures batik's enduring legacy for future generations.
