Uswarman

Life Report traces fifteen years of Uswarman’s (Uus) artistic evolution, synthesizing curatorial perspectives from Mayek Prayitno and Riski Januar into a comprehensive retrospective of his visual shift from dark figurativism to subconscious abstraction. The exhibition charts how Uus’s signature linework, once described as "soul wounds and scratches" used to portray raw psychological turbulence and "sick" figures, gradually transcended narrative form when figurative constraints could no longer hold his chaotic emotions. By displaying early anatomical experiments alongside layered, instinctual abstract works, Life Report reveals how Uus uses art as a cathartic mirror: channeling personal trauma, ego, and emotional release to offer viewers a space for deep reflection and shared human vulnerability.
