PRESENCE transforms everyday environments and overlooked sensory details into a contemplative artistic spectacle. In this exhibition, the artist offers a re-representation of ordinary experiences by hunting for ambient sounds that slip our attention and recontextualizing mundane spaces into surreal, absurd, and Dadaesque compositions. By modulating familiar settings and de-mystifying social mechanisms that are often taken for granted, Mitro brings forth a critical examination of under-addressed phenomena embedded in daily life. Ultimately, the work invites viewers to slow down, reconsider their immediate surroundings, and engage in a deeper psychological and social contemplation of the realities we constantly inhabit yet steadily ignore.
