Arbi Rangkito is an Indonesian contemporary artist. The practice revolves around the concept of his 'Daily Art Journal', talking about his experiences from his childhood and they impact his present. He creates these works as a response to the issues that concern him the most and environmental issues are a major part of it. Growing up in a remote village close to West Sumatra, Arbi grew up witnessing the rising issues with flora and fauna in Indonesia such as forest fires, depletion of native species and homelessness for the wildlife.
