Chen Gelin is a Chinese artist born in Guangxi in 1996, who works between Beijing and Guangxi. His works examine light through three-dimensional fibre compositions and a tonal painting practice. Influenced by the traditional crafts of Chinese ethnic minorities, including the weaving of the Hakka and the brocade patterns of the Zhuang, Gelin merges textile heritage with themes of futurism and multi-dimensional space. 

In 2024, he continued his fascination with material and light through his TWT artist residency program in Sydney. He has exhibited extensively at major international institutions, including the Liu Haisu Art Museum, 798 Han Art Space, BEING Art Museum, the Guangdong Museum, and Guardian Art Centre. He has also received numerous awards, including the "Young Art 100 Annual Award" and the "Xu Qinsong Creation Award Bronze Medal".
