Argya Dhyaksa (born 1991, Jakarta) is a Bandung-based artist known for his playful, whimsical, and cynical approach to ceramic art. A graduate of the Ceramic Craft program at the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Dhyaksa intentionally rejects rigid technical rules, formal measurements, and over-conceptualized contemplation in his creative process. Drawing from extensive material exploration and intuitive production, his works feature raw, unpolished, and surreal finishes that embrace free-flowing forms and spontaneous expressions.

Dhyaksa frequently uses his ceramic practice to critique social absurdity, cultural phenomena, and sensationalist media. A prominent example is his work Times New Roman Nirrahim (2015), which directly targets "yellow journalism"—a journalistic style that prioritizes illusion, sensational headlines, and crime or conflict over substantive truth. Crafted from engobed stoneware ceramic, the large-scale installation takes the shape of a fictional newspaper titled Apocalypse Post, featuring exaggerated, misleading headlines and satirical stories. Through this raw visual presentation, Dhyaksa highlights the absurdity of media strategies designed to sell sensation rather than facts.
